World Voting - Early World Democracy Online
WELCOME. We believe this site is the world’s first attempt at spreading the democratic process outside of traditional national boundaries. WorldVoting.net allows anyone with an Internet connection and an opinion to participate in a poll for any heads of state (or heads of government). Click a nation below to be taken to the voting area, where you can vote to support the current Head / or vote "No Confidence". Polls will run until approximately 2 months prior to the next general election, at which time a new poll will start which will include opposing candidate(s). Note: these are not “votes” in the traditional sense, but rather the “preferences” of people who take an interest in any country’s election. Voting here does not affect those official elections, nor are they counted in the country mentioned in any way whatsoever.
Currently there are 8 (eight) world polls open - ALGERIA, ECUADOR, EUROPEAN UNION, INDIA, IRAN, MACEDONIA, SLOVAKIA, and SOUTH AFRICA
Currently in the news – for "support" or "no confidence" votes SUDAN and ZIMBABWE
Be sure to also vote in the global referendum currently being held at VoteWorldGovernment.org, asking the question: "Do you support the creation of a directly-elected, representative and democratic world government?"
